I love that cake. Reminds me of the Carvel ice cream cake that can be decorated to be anything, based on the seson or the celebration. Today it's CookiePuss, tomorrow a belly dancer.
SOOO much cooler than a "Barbie" cake, too! Important question, though - what flavour was it?
On a not-quite-related topic, does anyone else find it tempting to adopt the "Carvel Ice Cream Cake" approach to living? I don't know about you, but being CookiePuss today, a belly dancer tomorrow, and something else entirely the next day holds a lot of appeal (I wonder how my co-workers would react - hee, hee, hee). Or maybe it's just the thought of all that ice cream!
Well, it called for melted chocolate squares, but that didn't seem chocolatey enough. So I added cocoa too. That still didn't seem chocolatey enough, so I threw in half a bag of chocolate chips.
Happy belated birthday, Stacey. Sounds like your "Death by chocolate" cake was yummy... and chocolate-y. So, how old are you this time? What, you're only 29? Again?! How can that be????
A Scorpio born in the Year of the Monkey, I love cats, chocolate and red wine. I'm a native Torontonian who was born Jewish but I consider myself Pagan. I'm a professional belly dancer trying desperately to get and hold a writing job. I talk too much and worry about everything. My friends are the most important people in my life (next to my husband The Good Father Patrick O'Stacey) and I never, ever want to grow up.

It was almost chocolately enough then. Almost.
